The full text of the National Education Technology Plan is available at www.NationalEdTechPlan.org. In addition, the Web site features a blog so that visitors can provide feedback and thoughts about the Plan and a showcase of student-produced works in a Student Voices section.

The National Educational Technology Standards for Students is designed to provide teachers, technology planners, teacher preparation institutions, and educational decision-makers with frameworks and standards to guide them in establishing enriched learning environments supported by technology. Teachers can use these standards and profiles as guidelines for planning technology-based activities in which students achieve success in learning, communication, and life skills.

Chart of States Using NETS: At the state level, 49 of the 51 states have adopted, adapted, aligned with, or otherwise referenced at least one set of standards in their state technology plans, certification, licensure, curriculum plans, assessment plans, or other official state documents.

The Southern Regional Education Board's February 2001 Technology Standards for Students described how southern states set their technology standards for students, many of which were based on the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS•S) Technology Foundations for Students.
